To whom it may concern,
I would love to leave registration open to anyone. However. I am being FLOODED with “robot” requests that never go anywhere. Two days ago I started deleting them a hundred (or more) at a time and I was fairly okay with that. Tonight I found about another THOUSAND registrations to attend to…and I deleted them. When I was done I came back a few minutes later (if that) and SEVEN more had appeared. I deleted those– and another one showed up. I have no choice to force “by invite only” registration. If you really do want to “be a part of” and contribute to this blog, please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Months Ago….still true to this day…..
I hate SPAM. You hate SPAM. Everyone hates SPAM. At some point I may start a weekly (if that) newsletter regarding my writings and/or this site. Rest assured:
- There will be an “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email.
- You will not be contacted more than once a week (if that).
Some of us still like to remain so private that not even their tombstone will know there name and that’s fine (it is rumored that most work for the CIA, NSA, and other alphabet soup agencies). If you want to use a throwaway email address to register (such as mailcatch.com, you know who you are), please email me at email@example.com and we can work something out. Please note: New registrations that do not post/comment at all (after several days) may be deleted for lack of activity.
Author’s note: After adding the “you know who you are” clause the steady stream of mailcatch.com registrations (about four a day) stopped.
