The Game

The two little boys sat in the bedroom and played. Immortal, far more intelligent than any human being– yet children– sat and played their little game. A near infinitely complex game, it took over ten of our years to play. Each game created it’s own planet. Afterwards they left the planet alone and it would last forever. They played without end– stopping only to eat or sleep.

“Children! Lunch’s ready!” Their mother called at the close of the latest game. One little boy turned to the other and asked:

“Who do you want to be after lunch, God or Satan?”
